Effects of Dietary Nano-Curcumin Supplementation on Growth Performance, Glucose Metabolism, and Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Juvenile Largemouth Bass, Micropterus salmoides

This study evaluated the effects of nano-curcumin on growth performance, mucosal immunity, antioxidant response, glucose metabolism, and endoplasmic reticulum stress in largemouth bass. Three groups (three replicates/group) 270 fish with mean body weight 7.00 ± 0.02 g were fed diets containing 0% (control), 0.1%, 0.2% for 60 days. The results showed that dietary supplementation had no significant composition, lysozyme (LYZ), alkaline phosphatase (AKP) skin mucus, superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) activity serum However, significantly increased peroxidase (POD) mucus decreased MDA compared control group. Moreover, levels liver glycogen, which may be mainly related to gene expression transporter 2 ( GLUT2 ), glucokinase GK phosphofructokinase PFK pyruvate kinase PK ). At same time, hepatic glucose-regulated protein78 GRP78 activating transcription factor6 ATF6 inositol-requiring enzyme 1 IRE eukaryotic initiation factor 2? eIF2? ) group rapidly suppressed, indicating adding diet can alleviate (ERS) fish. In conclusion, supplemented effectively improved properties, metabolism alleviated ERS induced by long-term carbohydrate intake
